In General, Yes Bay Lodge employs 30
individuals throughout the summer, filling a variety of positions. Our
season runs from approximately May 25 through October 1. It is very
important that each employee is available to work the entire season.

Overview (Working and living at Yes Bay)
Yes Bay Lodge is a seasonal business, open for a brief 4+ month season.
During that time, we are a 24-hour a day/seven day a week operation. We
expect our employees to be 100% focused on their job and the business
while on duty. Depending on the desired position some employees may be
required to adhere by a dress code. This information can be located in the
job description section.
Each position is equally important to the smooth operation of the
business. We expect all employees to work cooperatively and respect all
work spaces. Employees ultimately work for the guests with the goal of
making their stay as pleasant as possible.
We want our
staff to thoroughly enjoy their time spent at the lodge. Days off are a
perfect way to take advantage of the remote location. Therefore employees
are encouraged to hike our trails. The most established being a one and a
half mike hike up Wolverine Creek to the exquisite McDonald Lake. There
you may take part in some of the world’s most superb Trout fishing. Some
other activities include saltwater fishing for King Salmon and Halibut,
wildlife viewing, and kayaking/swimming in the pristine Alaskan waters.
Having a hobby will also provide employees with a more enjoyable stay.
For example, photography, painting, drawing, reading, writing,
knitting/crocheting, are all fantastic ways for employees to relax and
take pleasure in their time off.
All employees
will reside in dormitory style living quarters that will be shared with
another crew member of the same sex. Rooms include beds, shelving, and a
bathroom with a shower. Crew may utilize a shared TV with satellite and
VHS/DVD for entertainment, laundry facilities are open in the evening for
crew use, and meals are served cafeteria style in the employee break room.
Because everyone lives in works in close proximity to one another it is
crucial that everyone respect each other’s job, work space, personal
space, and personal belongings. There is no room for displeases
employees. Management will address all situations that may arise. Any
decisions made in this regard will be made based on the best interests of
the business.
Successful
employees are willing to put 100% effort into their work, and 100% into
time off. Those who easily become board by the remote location will most
likely not enjoy the unique opportunity to live and work in the relative
wilderness.
